Nicki Minaj covers Billboard magazine and says that "The Pinkprint' will be "important to hip-hop."

Nicki Minaj has been racking in the magazine covers as of late. Shortly after the December issue of V magazine was revealed, with the Queen of the Barbz on the front, we receive another December issue featuring Minaj from Billboard magazine.

Nicki Minaj's cover shot and photoshoot can be seen in the gallery above. Along with the flicks from her photoshoot, Billboard released a few quotes from the coinciding interview. Nicki Minaj has strong words for her delayed album The Pinkprint, saying,

"It's corny when rappers feel like they've made it and they don't have to prove themselves anymore. You should always be competing. You should always be trying to show that you're the best. My album is going to be important to hip-hop."

She also speaks on being a female in the male-dominated genre. "I'm on 15 to 25 conference calls every few days strategizing with my team. I think a lot of artists sit back and have it done for them," Minaj said. "Sometimes as women in the industry -- if you're sexy or like doing sexy things -- some people subconsciously negate your brain. They think you're stupid."
