Nicki Minaj is currently swinging at imaginary foes where it hurts most. To boost her projected album sales, she has decided to include platinum-selling single "FEFE" in her Spotify upload of Queen. The inclusion which has drawn minimal attention so far, was done without the benefit of a social media announcement. The decision to add "FEFE" was done from an underlying position, with a lot of tension already built around the issue of "friendly" competition.
With incumbent #1 Travis Scott slated for a 2nd week sweep, the decision is also a logical one, given the evenness of the "duet" format. The questions remains as to whether it fits at the bottom of the order, directly succeeding the "Inspirations Outro," which I gather is now reduced to a speed bump on the Spotify release. Other streaming platforms have not been updated to reflect the change. The addition is therefore a Spotify exclusive until it shows up elsewhere. "FEFE" is being streamed 3.5 million times on average/daily, as of late on Spotify.
Nicki's competition for top spot, Astroworld, posted the 3rd largest ever weekly numbers in its debut, trailing only Drake's Scorpion, Post Malone's beerbongs & bentleys, two albums that show no sign of slowing up or leaving the Top 5.
