Netflix is ending "House of Cards" after six seasons.

Late last night, Kevin Spacey was named as the aggressor in another round of sexual harassment claims that have pitched a thick black cloud over the showbiz world. Anthony Rapp, who can be seen in Star Trek: Discovery, said that, when he was just 14, that Spacey "[tried] to get with" him "sexually" during a drunken night at a party. "He picked me up like a groom picks up the bride over the threshold. But I don't, like, squirm away initially, because I'm like, 'What's going on?' And then he lays down on top of me," Anthony explains. Since then, Spacey has attempted to apologize for his behavior while also coming out as a gay man.

“I have a lot of respect and admiration for Anthony Rapp as an actor. I’m beyond horrified to hear his story,” Spacey said on Twitter. “I honestly do not remember the encounter, it would have been over 30 years ago [...] As those closes to me know, in my life, I have had relationships with both men and women. I have loved and had romantic relationships with men throughout my life, and I choose now to live as a gay man. I want to deal with this honestly and openly and that starts with examining my own behavior.” The criticism against Spacey has been fierce and, not surprisingly, Netflix has decided to cut his time as Frank Underwood short.

According to Variety, the fictional take on a tyrant running the U.S. government (sound familiar?) will end after its sixth season, which is currently in production. Not much is known about the storylines and if they'll be reconfigured in light of the claims against Spacey, but the report did state that he is not currently scheduled to be on set at this time. The show's production company released this statement in response to Rapp's shocking revelation: “Media Rights Capital and Netflix are deeply troubled by last night’s news concerning Kevin Spacey. In response to last night’s revelations, executives from both of our companies arrived in Baltimore this afternoon to meet with our cast and crew to ensure that they continue to feel safe and supported."

If more details come out about the show's plans for Season 6, we will let you know.
