When Monique Greene came forward with claims that Nelly sexually assaulted her on his tour bus, the rapper's girlfriend claimed they were not true because she was with him. "Those dates these Jane Doe’s are claiming, I was at those venues, in the dressing rooms, and on that tour bus,” she wrote in her Instagram post. “There are women dealing with real issues of sexual assault and for the first time people are listening and there is a chance for real change. But all of this work is discredited and makes things harder for survivors when people lie.”
According to The Blast, Monique has now subpoenaed Shantel Jackson to produce “all photographs, receipts, social media posts, airline tickets, bus tickets, phone records and other documents regarding her whereabouts on June 8, 9, 10, 2016; October 5, 6, 7, 2017 and December 4, 5, 6, 2017.”
The publication reports that Monique is also asking for Nelly to turn over a list of alleged witnesses on the dates of the alleged sexual assaults, a list of all sexual encounters the rapper had with fans in his dressing rooms, tour buses, and hotels at the three locations of the incidents, all documents relating to any accusation against him that are a nonconsensual sexual encounter and documents relating to Shantel Jackson’s travel during the incidents.
Nelly has reportedly filed a rejection to the subpoena, claiming Monique is asking for too much information that could jeopardize the privacy of his team. The judge has yet to rule.
