“Don’t tell me that you love me if you ain’t gon’ die for me,” raps NBA Youngboy. When things get real, people invariably show their true colors. Since being released from the pen on a $75,000 bail bond, NBA Youngboy has focused his energy on his young family and his craft.
NBA Youngboy spends most of the video in his front courtyard, where he bemoans not being able to find a woman in the mold of his mother. Less is more conceptually, as the lyrics are of foremost importance in this 'pain song.'
"Genie" is Youngboy's third video release this week. He is hard at work preparing the release of Until Death Call My Name, and subsequently a joint venture with Birdman called From the Bayou expected in the near future. Birdman might get his and bounce, or wrangle him over contract demands, but until then let's enjoy the fruits of their labor.
