Here is a list of the top ten best-selling video games of 2017, proving that games involving shooting or sports were most popular amongst buyers this past year.
Unsurprisingly, the Call of Duty franchise continues to dominate the gaming sphere, as its 2017 addition Call of Duty: WWII sold a whopping 2.28 million copies since its release in November, a staggering figure considering it has only been on the markets for over a month. In a close second, Destiny 2 pushed 2.08 million copies to secure its place in the runner-up position, while NBA 2K18 was purchased 1.8 million times.
Rounding out the top 5 is the still relevant Madden series, which saw its latest edition sell a cool 1.71 million copies, followed closely by Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands moving 1.6 million units.
This list only represents the top grossing games within North American markets, and all figures may be subject to change, as the year has not officially ended.
