Toronto rapper Nav was buzzing before his appearance on Travis Scott's "Beibs In The Trap" but after his feature, he absolutely blew up. He has one of the most recognizable sounds in the industry, using autotune to his advantage and taking the plug-in to its limits. At times, he has been critiqued for a monotonous sound but Nav doesn't seem to care at all. He's been successful with what he's put out, so why switch it up? When his close friend Lil Uzi Vert told the world that he would be leaving the music industry, Nav quickly followed to support his brother. The only difference is that an abundance of fans were actually pleased about Nav's departure.
Nav has since commented on the people who are wishing on his downfall on social media, noting that he hit an all-time high in followers after revealing his plans to quit. The artist reiterated that he wants to leave the game, cryptically writing that "sometimes quitting is better than continuing." He went on to add that "the world really enjoys watching your downfall." The posts have since been deleted along with all of the existing content on his page.
It looks like Nav is serious about this. Will you miss what he brought to the industry?
