Unlike 2017's Reckless, Nav's latest project Bad Habits is still gaining some serious attention a week after its release. The rapper's new project arrived four months after he announced his "retirement" in solidarity with Lil Uzi Vert. Bad Habits found Nav returning to the original sound that initially helped him gain the recognition of XO. A week after its release, and Nav's officially scored the number one album in the country.
It's a big day for Nav as he's topped the Billboard 200 with his latest project. Bad Habits officially earned the #1 spot after moving 82K equivalent album units in his first week. 24K of those come from traditional sales. While the project initially dropped on Friday, the rapper/producer released a deluxe edition a few days later which included three new songs and the Brown Boy EP.
It looks like a lot of Nav's dreams came true within the span of a week. The rapper opened about his longing for fame in a recent interview, claiming that if TMZ starts taking his picture, "it must mean my album went number one and I’m getting more money." TMZ later approached Nav a few days after the interview was published and now, he's landed the number one album in the country.
We'll see what Nav has up his sleeves next. Do you think he could top the success of Bad Habits? Sound off in the comments.
