Rapper Nas (L) and singer Kelis arrive at the Entertainment Weekly Grammy After Party Toasting LA Reid held at STK on February 10, 2008 in West Hollywood, California.
Nas responds to the allegations against him, sort of.

Last week, singer Kelis sat down for an interview, in which she opened up about her relationship with her ex-husband, Nas, who she stated would frequently drink until he blacked out, and would then engage in physical and mental abuse.

"I had bruises all over my body at that time," said Kelis in the interview.

Since then, Nas has kept quiet about the allegations against him, that is until yesterday, when he posted a photo on his Instagram of he and his son playing at the beach. The caption read, "This is what it’s all about. Pure Peace & Pure Love. Pure Happiness! ❤️ #tb#fathersandsons."

The comments of the post were, predictably, divisive, with commenters either defending Nas or calling him out for his alleged abuse of his ex-wife. While Nas hasn't made a public statement regarding their relationship, he made his stance clear by responding to certain comments that defended him and disparaged Kelis.

One comment read, "One or two restaurants she would have been cool. You started doing too much & she da chef. You know you not supposed to live son!," to which Nas responded with a "💯." The implication here being that Kelis is only saying these things because she wants Nas' restaurant money.

Nas also wrote "applause," in response to another comment suggesting that black women are being used as tools by the feminist agenda in order to target black men and promote white supremacy.

You can check out the post from Nas, as well as a collection of his responses, below.
