Molly Brazy dropped two front-to-back solid mixtapes in 2017, and her 2018 singles have kept up the raw energy that makes her one of the most exciting up-and-comers working. "Big Boss" is her latest, and surprisingly, features a slightly higher-register vocal delivery from Brazy, enough that day-one fans will double take when they first hear her come in. The way she writes, however, is unmistakable, and her furious punchline-driven style is as strong as ever here. The high BPM plays to her confrontational style, keeping the feel of the track uniquely Detroit track and reminding us that she's currently one of the city's strongest forces. We're ready and waiting for Brazy's next full-length offering, which hopefully should get the attention that Big Brazy and Molly World deserved.
