Many were hoping that Atlanta would be a staple of the Super Bowl's halftime show. The musical performance is always among the most watched of the year and with the major event taking place in the ATL this season, our fingers were crossed that the city would get some love with the halftime guest. When Maroon 5 was announced, our hopes were let down. While the choice is absolutely in line with the NFL's selections from past years, there was a hope that they would consider a group like Migos or another Atlanta presence. Ultimately, the city will be represented through the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest as the lineup has just been announced.
Despite the actual halftime show touting Adam Levine & Co., many eyes will be on the EA Sports-promoted Bud Light concert. Today, the lineup was announced, which includes Ludacris, Metro Boomin (with a special guest,) Lil Jon, and others. The Quality Control label is represented well as three of their acts will be performing: Migos, Lil Yachty, and Lil Baby.
The event will take place on January 31, 2019 with tickets officially going on sale at the end of this week. More announcements are set to come regarding the Super Bowl festivities as a "Super Friday" event and Bud Light Super Bowl Eve are being advertised.
