It's not often you see interviews abruptly cut short but it seems to be a growing trend with the Migos. Anything they have to say is put on wax while their conversational skills fall short. Recently, the trio had a pretty awkward moment during an interview with a San Antonio personality.
During an interview on the Dana Cortez show, the group had just wrapped up a performance in San Antonio and spoke to Cortez for a moment after their set. The trio were pretty open the beginning of the interview but their conversation didn't last long. They were initially asked about their performance and Quavo led the interview saying, "It's beautiful. It's very cultural, you know what I'm saying? Its a lot of different people in the crowd and its fun and they here to have fun and experience the greatest hip hop group in the world."
However, it didn't take long for Cortez to ask Offset about his recent engagement to Cardi B. After saying he turned in his "Playa Card," he briefly spoke on what happened.
"It was piped up, man. The crowd was going crazy. It was a lot of support, ain't no hating, you know what I'm saying," he told Cortez.
Directly after his response, each member of the Migos gave strange looks to someone off camera, presumably a manager, before leaving the interview. Cortez says they have a flight to catch and Offset abruptly jumps out of his seat and puts the microphone down on the floor.
She asks the trio to do a plug for her show and only Quavo and Takeoff stick around to do so.
There's a good chance they did have a flight to catch but the timing was a little too coincidental.
It's yet another awkward interview moment for the Migos. They aren't necessarily known for their interviews. Earlier this year, they delivered one of the most meme-worthy moments of the year after confronting Joe Budden and DJ Akademiks at the BET Awards. Joe Budden later said he didn't even want to interview them because of their lackluster personas during interviews.
