Michael Jackson's statue has been removed from Britain's National Football Museum.

After Leaving Neverland aired this weekend, Michael Jackson's legacy was tainted once again. It appears as though the man will never truly rest with allegations being made against him by two previously-silent victims. James Safechuck and Wade Robson are the stars of the HBO documentary, coming forward to speak about the abuse they allegedly suffered at the pop superstar's hands when they were children. Since Neverland aired, the public's view of Michael Jackson has shifted slightly with radio stations pulling his music in Canada and New Zealand. It's insane to think that classics like "Thriller" and "Billie Jean" will no longer be played on the radio but we've moved past that point now. In addition to the radio ban, an MJ statue has been removed from Britain's National Football Museum.

According to CNN, the statue was taken down because of the public's reaction to new sexual abuse allegations. The statue was installed in 2014 inside of the soccer museum, but it was no longer being displayed this week. The decision to remove MJ's statue from this specific museum shouldn't be too big of a hot topic, simply because Jackson was not a professional soccer player. However, his reach was so vast that he could be placed in a soccer museum without people thinking twice about it.

A spokesperson for the museum issued a statement, reading, "As part of our ongoing plans to better represent the stories we want to tell, we have made a decision to remove the Michael Jackson statue from display." Do you think organizations will continue to boycott Michael Jackson because of the new documentary?
