MGK drops off a cover of Rage Against the Machine.

While some of the music industry has been on a hiatus as part of a blackout that began in support of George Floyd, and the protests surrounding his death-- as well as racism as a whole-- other artists have used the opportunity to share exactly how they feel with everything that's happening, and has been happening, to Black men and women.

We've received music from Terrace Martin on that front, as well as Eric Bellinger, of course, YG's "FTP" and RTJ delivering a whole album. Today Machine Gun Kelly releases a cover of Rage Against the Machine's "Killing in the Name" as a sign of his support on the BLM movement, with a black and white video that shows footage from the protests as well as Travis Barker and MGK mobbing out to the song in the studio.

With the release of the cover on YouTube, Machine Gun Kelly writes, "they wrote this song in 1992. Its been 28 years since and every word still applies." It's as simple as that.

Take a listen.

In the wake of George Floyd's death, we've (finally) seen all four police officers involved get charged-- however we are still waiting for charges to come down on the police who shot and killed Breonna Taylor.
