Mez gives "MF+G" the visual treatment it deserves.

Not long after stepping behind the camera to helm J. Cole's "Middle Child" visuals, Mez has come through for his turn in the spotlight. Today marks the arrival of the Rashidi Harper-directed "MF+G," which arrives with some clean cinematography from Larry Kin. Throughout the clip, Mez alternates between locations- one moment he's standing solitary beneath a basketball net, the next he's posting up with the entourage, juxtapositioning their lively movements with his own deadpan delivery. The shots themselves are a testament to Mez's vision; there's something minimalist about "MF+G," delivered through cool colors and clever use of shadow.

"MF+G" was already a banger, and it's great to see the track land the visual treatment it deserves. Hopefully the arrival marks the beginning of a bonafide Mez rollout, as the game has been steady waiting for his new project. In the meantime, check out "MF+G" now, and keep a lookout for his next move. Between his own work and his contributions to the upcoming Dreamville compilation, 2019 is looking like a breakout year for one of the game's sharpest lyricists.
