There's no doubt that Metro Boomin' has dominated the past year, if not two. The producer dropped off two projects with some of the hottest artists in the game and has lent his production skills to some of the most prominent artists in the game. While it's hard to think of a single week that he hasn't had a single chart of the Billboard 100, this week he claims 10 positions on the chart.
As Forbes observed, the St. Louis producer has claimed 10 positions on this week's Billboard 100. The producer's credits appear on 10 of the biggest hits right now. Of course, he and 21 Savage's close working relationship has helped him attain these positions. With the release of the 21 Savage and Offset collaboration project Without Warning, the producer claims six positions with "Ric Flair Drip" (no. 50) "Ghostface Killers" (no.35), "Rap Saved Me" (no. 64), "My Choppa Hate N*****" (no. 73) "Mad Stalkers" (no. 99) and "Nightmare" (no. 100). However, his co-production on Savage's "Bank Account" earned him another position on the charts at no. 15, as well. Along with that, his work with Savage and Big Sean on "Pull Up N Wreck" just debuted on the charts this week at no. 94.
Aside from his work with 21 Savage, he claims no. 14 this week with Gucci Mane's highest charting single, "I Get The Bag" featuring Atlanta powerhouse, Migos. He also maintains no. 40 on the chart for a second week in a row for Post Malone's "Congratulations."
Metro hasn't slacked one bit this year. As you could see, his infectious production has dominated the whole year and the Billboard's aren't the only ones acknowledging that. He, alongside Future and G-Eazy were honored at this year's BMI R&B and Hip Hop Awards. The chart topping producer claimed "Producer of the Year' this year and rightfully so.
In addition to the work he's done with 21 Savage and Offset, he also dropped off his collaboration project with Nav, Perfect Timing. Around the same time, he also launched his own record label "Boominati Worldwide" with Republic Records and Universal.
There's no doubt he's dominated this year and he'll definitely be taking over 2018 in the same fashion.
