It took a couple of public exchanges, and perhaps a "shazam" or two before Megan Thee Stallion won the public's undivided attention. But now that she's got it, you get the sense she's on the cusp of something immeasurably great. Her addition to "Bestie" came at the perfect time, as radio stations across the United States were hopeful Bhad Bhabie could provide them an alternative to Kodak Black's verse, due to the boycott that's been upheld over his conduct vis-a-vis Lauren London and others.
To be frank, the momentum generated by her "Bestie" guest verse isn't even her crowning achievement to date. Just as rumors began to circle over an impending Drake remix to "Big Ole Freak" single, Megan The Stallion privately addressed the situation in a person-to-person meeting with the Canadian superstar, culminating in their friendship and nothing else. Her association with the OVO don (on social media, etc.) was enough to propel her up a couple of spots within a gag order of the competition.
As of this writing, the Houston-native stands within a week of dropping Fever, her full-length debut under 300 Entertainment. In an attempt to satiate the excruciating wait over its release in week's time (May 17th), Hot Girl Meg, as she refers to herself on Twitter, unveiled a promo reel teasing one of the music videos she hopes to debut on the project. Megan Thee Stallion is depicted pulling up in a rag top flanked by her presidential guard. If that doesn't get the juices flowing, you might be sorely out of place this time next week.
