Now that he’s a free man, Meek Mill has slowly started to make his rounds on the media circuit to speak on his latest prison stint. After sitting down with Angie Martinez Tuesday morning on her first “One On One” show via Tidal, Meek then proceeded to follow that up with another conversation on Angie’s afternoon radio spot on Power 105. 1.
Sitting down for 26 minutes this time around, Meek spoke about his #FreeMeek campaign, the sudden culture shock he faced after being released from prison, and underestimating how big the movement was while he was locked up. He also talked about his thoughts on Kanye West, to which he said he was saddened by with the slavery comments, but he does agree with Ye on the some of what he’s been saying.
“When he talking about slavery & people not having a choice. I disagree ten thousand percent. I don't know what he's talking about. But I know he trying to deliver a message for a better cause. His intention is there. I just think he’s not informed enough to speak on some of things he’s speaking on,” Meek said.
In addition, Meek also spoke with Ange about her Safaree interview, and his upcoming 6-part interview with Amazon & Jay Z, among other things.
