Meek Mill's always emphasized the importance of giving back to his community in whatever way he can. Though he's climbing the corporate ladder, with a lifestyle to show for it, he's still used his ties in the business world to help his cause whether it be back-to-school giveaways or the REFORM Alliance advocating for prison reform.
Meek Mill hit the 'Gram recently where he flexed a little bit with cash in hand and a flashy watch on his wrist. Meek's Instagram posts are meant for motivational purposes, though, again, he's also a man who uses his platform to give back to his community. Apparently, Trey Songz didn't get the memo, writing in the comments, "Take them bands and accept the #feedyourcitychallenge."
Meek quickly shut him down with a slew of comments disproving Trey's statement. "I donated like 2 mill this year where you at? Lol," Meek replied. "200K to Philadelphia schools... my phantom for less fortunate 400K... and help raised 50 mill for reform @treysongz don't try me like that!"
"What you feel attacked? I know what you doing for your community that's why I challenged you. I'm at everybody to to do they part and more, you included. Ima try whoever bout what I'm on right now. Feel how you feel," Trey said in response before elaborating further on an Instagram post.
"So @meekmill apparently felt a way bout me challenging him to the #feedyourcitychallenge. He felt the need to tell me what he’s already done, hopefully not realizing I tapped on him because of how much I know he’s already doing for his community," Trey said in response. "That’s great you donated fam, that’s great you helping prison reform, that’s great you gave ya phantom. I’m simply trying to bring us together to further help our communities. You offended? Lol you got it!"
Meek ultimately tweeted out that he and Trey Songz are cool and that it was the inclusion of the emoji that ultimately threw him off. Ok, Meek.
