It appears Meek Mill had a little run in with law Thursday night. According to TMZ, the MMG rapper was arrested by NYC police and charged with reckless endangerment for riding his dirt bike in the city.
Sources tell TMZ that Meek was being held for questioning in an Upper Manhattan Precinct after being taken in for the alleged stunt. He was allegedly riding his four-wheeler "in and out of traffic and popping wheelies in the street” all while broadcasting himself live on Instagram. Unfortunately for Meek, NYPD caught wind of his wild antics and tracked him down.
However, while being held in police custody, Meek again took his Instagram live to record his encounter with the police. And in the clip, we can hear police ask Meek if he was "riding around on a motorcycle yesterday?” "I got video of you," one officer says. "They say it's 'cause he was riding a dirt bike yesterday," one of Meek's friends can be heard saying in the background.
Complex was able to confirm the story through a NYPD spokesperson who made the following statement…
"He was arrested for an open complaint on reckless endangerment," a spokesperson confirmed. "Apparently he was seen on social media driving recklessly on a dirt bike. Police encountered him today and arrested him. He's already been removed to Central Booking, and he'll be going to court now."
