Another change to the UFC 223 card.

The UFC 223 fight card has undergone a tremendous amount of change in the last week and a half, and it just changed once again.

Lightweight fighter Max Holloway, who was scheduled to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov for the vacant Lightweight championship on Saturday night, has been deemed medically unfit to fight and is out of the main event, according to UFC President Dana White. Holloway was the replacement for Tony Ferguson, who was forced to withdraw from the match last week after he suffered a torn knee ligament.

Holloway tweeted at Nurmagomedov moments ago, ".@TeamKhabib my brother I want to keep going but they are stopping me. Sorry to your team and the fans. You don’t deserve this. This is number one. Shout outs to you and @Showtimepettis . Give the fans what they deserve."

Anthony Pettis was supposed to take on Michael Chiesa, but Chiesa has been deemed unfit to fight by the New York State Athletic Commission and the UFC medical team, due to several facial cuts he sustained as a result of McGregor's actions.

The winner of Nurmagomedov vs Holloway was to be crowned the true 155-pound lightweight champion, after Dana White stripped Conor McGregor of that title. Now, it looks like Khabib Nurmagomedov will be going up against Anthony Pettis for that title.
