One of our greatest female soul singers opened up about her recent struggles out of the spotlight.
According to People, Mary J. Blige got emotional during her performance at this past weekend's Essence Fest in New Orleans when she touched on the subject of her contentious separation from her ex, Kendu Isaacs.
"You can’t have two queens," she said while on stage, referring to Isaacs' elongated extramarital affair that led to their separation. "For me ladies, I’m a little crazy, maybe a lot, but I’m more selfish with my relationships," she said. "And I will not appreciate is my man coming home comparing me to Suzy on the job [...] Don’t ever compare me to nobody because there’s only one Mary J. Blige out there."
