Johnson left his post with the Lakers suddenly and unexpectedly.

There have been a lot of rumors and reports flying around ever since Magic Johnson stepped down from his post as president of basketball operations for the Los Angeles Lakers. For instance, it is believed that Johnson resigned after accidentally being CC'd on an e-mail exchange between Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and general manager Rob Pelinka. This e-mail exchange was reported to be quite critical of Magic which ultimately led to him stepping down. None of the parties involved in this have confirmed the reports, although they further fuel the idea that the Lakers have been crumbling from within for a while now.

With these rumors in mind, it was quite curious last night when Magic took to Twitter and posted what looked to be a happy photo of him and Buss having dinner.

"Had some great quality time with my sister Jeanie at dinner tonight. #FamilyForever," Johnson wrote on Twitter.

When Johnson initially left the team, he explained that he hadn't even told Buss about it and that he didn't want it to ruin their relationship.

"So today I'm going to step down as president," Johnson said. "I don't wanna...[team owner Jeanie Buss] and I have such [an] amazing relationship. I think that she gave me full power to do what I wanted to do, but I think that with her and I, I want to always preserve our relationship and love her. I think that I had more fun when I was able to be the big brother and ambassador to everybody."

Just another day in Laker-land.
