Friday the 13th strikes again. In yet another instance of premature retirement, MadeinTYO has taken to social media to break the news of his departure. With a checklist that includes platinum singles and a spot on the 2017 XXL Freshman class, it's clear that the young rapper feels at least some degree of professional and personal fulfillment. However, it would appear he's ready and willing it bow out gracefully, rather than pursue an extended career in the rap game.
The rapper announced that he was currently working on his first album, which would also be his last, much to the disdain of his fans. Yet it seems like TYO is at peace with his decision, giving it a sense of finality not evident in the aforementioned Metro announcement. "btw thanks for the b day wishes ❤️ I’m enjoying my day! honestly I’m thankful for all the success & memories," he wrote via Instagram. "I have accomplished things I never thought i could ... better yet I’m able take care of my family for the rest of my life. one of my biggest goals in life is done."
Along with the retirement news, MadeinTYO has revealed his intention to relocate to Japan; in case you didn't know, the rapper actually spent some of his teenage years living there. In the event that he's sincere, we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
