According to TMZ, Mac Miller has officially been hit with a DUI charge from his car accident back in May.
The L.A. City Attorney's Office filed charges against the Pittsburgh native recently stemming from that car accident that got him arrested a few months ago. He's facing two counts of DUI, one for driving under the influence and another for driving with a BAC at 0.08 or higher. He wasn't charged with hit and run either, for which he was originally booked for.
If you forgot what happened, Mac’s G Wagon Mercedes was found abandoned and smash into a utility pole in the San Fernando Valley back in May. Cops then went to Mac's house following the fact they found out who's it was and had him take a breathalyzer test, which he failed miserably as previously stated (above). He was obviously then arrested and taken to jail.
If he’s convicted, which is doubtful, Mac could face up to 6 months in jail and a $1,000 fine, but that probably wont be happening. As TMZ points out, pretty much every first offender gets hit with probation, community service and probably a license suspension.
We'll continue to keep you posted moving forward. In the meantime, read our review of his new album, Swimming, right here. (Below is footage from the car accident itself.)
