With LeBron James and Rajan Rondo out of the lineup for the Los Angeles Lakers, players like Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball are being asked to take the reigns and lead the team to the promise land. The team lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder 107-100 last night and the fans were not impressed with the team's showing. It was Ball that the fans were upset with in particular, as the sophomore player was booed after missing a free throw late in the fourth quarter.
Considering Ball is a point guard, it's expected that he should be a good free throw shooter. Although according to Basketball-Reference, this isn't the case as he is one of only three guards in the history of the game to have a free throw percentage below 45 percent.
There were a lot of expectations for Ball when he joined the team last season, especially since his infamous father LaVar kept hyping him up saying he would be a better player than "Magic" Johnson.
The Lakers are now 21-17 on the season and sit in eighth place in the Western Conference which would give them the final playoff spot if the season ended today.
