Just yesterday, the Lollapalooza committee unveiled a preliminary list of headliners for the 2019 edition of the festival. Gracing the list were Lil Baby, Lil Skies, Gunna, J Balvin, Rosalia, as well as Lil Wayne, Janelle Monae, Tame Impala, seemingly all well-positioned at the top of the order.
By all accounts, would-be concertgoers seemed pleased with the early prelims listed, by the sheer volume of Twitter likes and shares. Little did they know, but Lollapalooza was all but ready to finalize their roster the very next day, with an amended list that included big rig names like Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, Meek Mill, 21 Savage, H.E.R., Maggie Rogers, RL Grime, 6LACK, Sheck Wes, Smino, J.I.D, Denzel Curry, KILLY, Tayla Parx,Tayla Parx, and countless other listed above.
As is the custom, Lollapalooza's announcement came in the form of a neatly-pressed poster, the names sequenced in order of appearance, and sized accordingly. The very top arch goes to Ariana Grange unsurprisingly, her idolatry in America has her pulling rank on any artist this side of the Atlantic or Pacific for that matter. The strangest inclusion to the final list is Shaquille O'Neal, marking his return Rap with a concert performance. Tickets can be purchased here, keep it locked.
