Lil Yachty is a loyal guy. The Nicki Minaj and Cardi B beef has been playing out all of 2018, with things culminating in an intense online back and forth on Monday (October 29). Yachty is signed to Quality Control Records along with Cardi's husband Offset. Cardi's management also runs through Quality Control, doubling down on the interconnected ties between her and Yachty. Lil Boat sat down with TMZ's Raquel Harper for her BET late night show Raq Rants, and he revealed that he has no choice but to be team Cardi in the ongoing feud.
When Harper asked Yachty if he feels like he has to pick sides in the Cardi and Minaj back and forth, he immediately answered "yupp." He also added that he will choose Cardi B "everytime." On the topic of collaborating with Minaj, Yachty said, "I couldn't. As much as I probably would want to." He reaffirmed that there's no way he would collab with Minaj before moving on. At least we know that Yachty is a team player.
Minaj and Cardi seemingly called a truce after bickering online for the better part of Monday, so Yachty may find an opportunity to work with the "Ganja Burn" rapper after all.
