With the release of Offset and 21 Savage's Without Warning and Quavo and Travis Scott's Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho, one question has been on the minds of Migos fans: Where's the Takeoff collab tape?
As it turns out, Takeoff will be dropping a project with QC Labelmate Lil Yachty, as Yachty confirmed in a recent Instagram Live session (via HHH Reddit). After previewing a new collaboration between himself and the underrated Migos rapper, he made the official announcement: "That was me and Takeoff by the way. Me and Takeoff's project coming real soon."
Yachty had previously hinted at a collaborative tape with Takeoff on Twitter. The Atlanta rapper responded to a fan who wrote "I smell a takeoff yatchy [sic] tape coming," with a simple, "You smart," on December 24th. It's unclear if the project was already in the works at that point, or whether that fan tweet is what inspired the two to get together in the first place.
Yachty also promised fans that his upcoming solo project Lil Boat 2 was "coming soon," as well as previewing a collaboration with Trippie Redd that may appear on the project.
In the meantime, Migos' Culture II will be released January 26th.
