We've been waiting on new music from Lil Wayne for quite some time. The rapper continuously stays in the lab, cooking up fire but as of recently, has been scarce of his releases. Along with that, he doesn't really divulge on too much information on the web. However, his team constantly drops subtle updates here and there that you got to dig through in order to find what's happening in Wayne's world. Recently, his manager, Cortez Bryant, may have given us an update as to when we may get more music from Weezy.
On an Instagram live video, Cortez Bryant let it slip that Dedication 6 may be arriving sooner than we expect. Wayne's long time manager said, "D6, D6, December... Maybe D6 in November. Not December, that's too long." It's unsure whether he's trolling the fans or if he's actually legit. According to LilWayneHQ.com, his girlfriend told him to shut up because "they will run with that," although that's not included in the documented clip. That might mean that he's trolling or that he'll ruin a surprise. Either way, we're hoping that he ends up delivering his promise and D6 drops this month.
Over the past several months, Wayne's been popping up on a lot more on a feature tip. He's been collaborating with some unsuspected artists such as Demi Lovato and Trippie Redd. Following his seizures, he was also spotted in the studio with Damian Lillard and Scott Storch. Alongside that, Swizz Beatz recently shared a snippet of an upcoming Lil Wayne joint that he produced. While that's yet to surface, it did sound incredibly hard. Chances are the tracks with Scott Storch and Swizz Beatz won't end up on Dedication 6 but hopefully, they land on a few album of sorts.
Thusfar, there's been a handful of rumors indicating who'll end up on Dedication 6. Young Money protegé, Gudda Gudda, and Weezy have reportedly recorded a remix to Lil Uzi Vert's "For Real" for the project. Most recently, Sosamann and Baby E have confirmed spots on the project as well.
