Earlier this week, some unfortunate news surfaced about Lil Wayne being hospitalized due to a seizure he endured in Chicago. While the rapper got on his feet pretty quickly, the doctors recommended the rapper stays home for two weeks before getting back on his grind. Despite the advice, Wayne's manager, Cortez Bryant, was quick to say that the rapper has no intentions of slowing down any time soon. This is clearly the case since Portland Trailblazer's Damian Lillard and super-producer, Scott Storch, both posted separate pictures of themselves inside of the studio with Weezy, confirming both Wayne's health condition and Bryant's comments.
Lillard posted a picture of himself and Wayne in the studio with the simple caption "#Confirmed ... @liltunechi." So it seems like Wayne has extended his talents to the Portland Trailblazer for a new collab. Who knows when this will end up seeing the light of day but it's definitely a good sign that Wayne is back to being Wayne. This wouldn't be the first time the basketball player and Wayne would be collaborating together. The two have linked up previously for "Loyal To The Soil" back in 2016 on Lillard's album The Letter O.
Storch also took to Instagram to post a picture of the two in the studio. Storch directly addressed Wayne's recent health scares and confirmed to everyone that the rapper is in great form right now. "My boy from back in Miami @liltunechi now he's healthy and we making some #hits in Los Angeles" was captioned underneath Storch's post. Back in 2016, the two were spotted in the studio and shared a similar pose to the latest flick. While he mentioned at that time that he's working on Tha Carter V with Weezy, it's hard to say what they might be up to right now. Wayne and Storch have worked together on numerous occasions and earlier in the summer, Storch said that the two had some really big songs together. He even hinted that he produced a joint for a Jay-Z & Lil Wayne collaboration. While that has yet to be confirmed, we're hoping we get to hear all this new Wayne music in the near future. But for now, it's great to see Wayne is doing well.
