While it was initially believed that the suspect in the Lil Wayne bus shooting case had already been arrested, it seems it was simply a warrant that was issued. According to TMZ, Jimmy Carlton Winfrey has now officially turned himself in as of this morning.
As we know, Winfrey is looking at charges of "aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possession of a firearm by a felon, and criminal gang activity". It's been suggested that he was once Young Thug's road manager, but whether or not that has anything to do with his motive has yet to be confirmed.
The charges stem from an event which took place April 26th, in which multiple shots were fired at Wayne's tour bus following a performance at Compound nightclub in Atlanta. No one was hurt.
We'll keep you updated on any new information about the case. So far, Lil Wayne has not made any kind of statement about the incident.
