Tha Carter heads to the desert.

Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V may have been the most heavily anticipated album of 2018. It didn't get the official title of most anticipated because its release was uncertain. Fans grew to believe Tha Carter V would end up like Detox, just a piece of hip-hop history that would never see the light of day. Things worked out for Tunechi and his squadron of fans though when the project was finally set free.

"Don't Cry" featuring the late XXXTentacion was a crowd pleaser on the project. The team-up was unexpected yet beautiful, and the new visuals for the single will give you the same feeling. Directed by Jay & Georgio Rodriguez, the "Don't Cry" video places Tunechi in a gorgeous desert and in a king's throne while he lets his emotions flow. Old scenes of X are interwoven into the video, but are mainly used as b-roll. The finale, which features a mashup of X throwback videos, is bittersweet to watch.
