There is no denying the fact that Lil Uzi Vert has had a strange year. In the summer of 2018, the Philadelphia artist started teasing his new studio album, introducing us to the Eternal Atake cover art. Even in its embryonic state, the album still carried tons of controversy. Uzi used cult imagery in his artwork, which was met with legal action from the Heaven's Gate cult members. Then, the rollout abruptly ended after the release of "New Patek" as a single as it was revealed that uzi was experiencing major label difficulties with his mentors DJ Drama and Don Cannon. Things got even more complicated when, a few days ago, "Free Uzi" appeared online with the rapper's vocals pitched up. Yesterday, it was announced that two new Uzi singles would be released after leaking online last week, and we're highlighting "Sanguine Paradise" here.
For now, it seems as though the new song is only available on TIDAL but it should be released to other streaming services soon. Uzi has been showcasing his rapping ability a lot more lately instead of crafting catchy melodies. Let us know what you think of the new Uzi.
It remains unclear when Eternal Atake will be arriving, and if this song will be included on the project, but we've listed a number of things we want from the highly-anticipated project here.
Quotable Lyrics:
In reality I’m 5'4
Stand on my money now I’m 6'6
Hit her once now she dismissed
Can’t fuck her sister make her lick dick
.40 on me make my hip thick
When I see an opp, make the clip hit
Aiming at his top, boy you need a mop
Man I’m goin’ out with a vengeance
