Lil Uzi Vert's "XO Tour Llif3" is arguably the hottest rap song out right now. While it's only just been added to streaming services, the dark and catchy track has been the most streamed song on SoundCloud for a few weeks now. Despite all this, there's no word on when Uzi's Luv Is Rage 2, announced last November, will arrive, and it seems Uzi is anxious to put the project out.
As XXL points out, the Philly rapper sent out some tweets that pinned the delay of the project on an unnamed "old person" Friday night.
"Can I honestly tell y'all why this album ain't drop," wrote Uzi. "It's because of an Old Person who doesn't Understand what's going on right now. Can you guess who?"
After posing the question to fans, Uzi retweeted two replies that suggested the "old person" in question was DJ Drama, who alongside Don Cannon, heads the label Generation Now, which Uzi is signed to. All the tweets have since been deleted.
This is not the first time Uzi has expressed frustration with his label. Last month, he tweeted, "ALL MY YOUNG NIGGAS DONT SIGN TOOOOO A LABEL IM YOUR ELDER LABELS DO FUCK SHIT .....2® They send and okay records and fuck up ya soundcloud."
In February, Uzi shared 4 new songs as Luv Is Rage 1.5. Stream the project here.
