Lil Peep filmed a video for "16 Lines" before his untimely death.

Seeing Lil Peep actually singing the lyrics to "16 Lines" in his newest music video is incredibly eerie. The late artist was on the verge of blending together several different genres, bringing "punk-rap" to the forefront with his Goth Boi Clique before he passed away in 2017. We lost the troubled star a year ago and we've been lucky enough to receive one posthumous album from Gus under the supervision of his mother and Smokeasac, his trusted producer. A few videos have shown the rapper in animated form, mixing found footage with computer-generated work to bring the artist's work to life. After teasing a video for "16 Lines" yesterday, Peep's estate has released the clip posthumously.

It's bittersweet to watch Gus singing along to the song knowing that he is no longer with us. The video was clearly filmed over a year ago with the late rapper mouthing the words casually in what appears to be a drug-fueled state. The video is made up entirely of found footage, which rolls through several different scenes of Gus jamming to the song. Perhaps Peep was always planning to release visuals for "16 Lines" with this acting as somewhat of a rough layout.

What do you think of the new release? Take a look at the video above.
