Lil Nas X won't be nearing in the looming territory of a one-hit wonder for much longer when he arrives with a new EP next month.
Currently, enjoying the response from his star-studded "Old town Road" music video, the Georgia-red rapper took to Twitter to announce that his project, entitled 7, will get here in June, attaching the brief message to a screenshot from the aforementioned music video.
While he doesn't put much detail in it, it'd be pretty safe to assume that he could very well be recruiting a myriad talent for the tracklist. In the last month alone, Lil Nas has been spotted with the likes of Tory Lanez, YBN Cordae and most recently, Usher.
There's not entirely much of an expectation from Lil Nas X's forthcoming project sonically, as the rapper is accustomed to delving between genres. In fact, the very success of "Old Town Road" relies heavily on his mixture of hip-hop and country elements nearly to a comical degree. For that reason, it's hard to tell what just what Lil Nas X will be offering up fans as he eyes longevity.
In a recent interview with Nardwuar, however, he revealed that he has been cooking up with producer duo DAYTRIP, responsible for "Mo Bamba."
"You're going to love it," he said of the vault.
