Lil Dicky and Chris Brown are celebrating with their brand new platinum plaque.

While going platinum in 2018 may not carry the same weight as it did years ago, it is still quite an accomplishment to be able to declare yourself as a platinum-selling artist. After all, not many people on Earth have the honor of showing off a platinum plaque for their music. With a buzzy music video and a hilarious concept, Lil Dicky and Chris Brown's "Freaky Friday" had platinum written all over it from the jump. It was only a matter of time before the track landed itself a shiny plaque. Today happened to be the special day for LD and CBreezy as Chris made the announcement on his Instagram earlier.

Thanking his fans for supporting the project, Chris Brown went on to give props to Lil Dicky for coming up with the idea. "Thx @lildickygram for an awesome opportunity," wrote Breezy regarding the track. With a handful of cameos on "Freaky Friday," Dicky acquired a surprising amount of star power for the single, deeming it as his best work yet before it had even dropped. As the music video nears 300 million views, "Freaky Friday" still has some of the most inventive visuals of the year and it will likely finish 2018 as one of the top videos to have been released.

The accomplishment comes just one day after it was revealed that Brown was nearing the billion streams mark on his album Heartbreak on a Full Moon. Congratulations to Lil Dicky and Chris Brown!
