Indeed, it was Lil Baby's turn. The 25-year-old recording artist from Atlanta has hit his stride and he's being celebrated as one of the voices of his generation. As he continues to build his portfolio, the rapper returned to #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart with My Turn, his critically-acclaimed new album. After debuting at the top upon its release in February, it got back to the pole position nearly four months later.
According to early chart projections, we can expect to see the "Emotionally Scarred" artist back at #1 for the second-straight week.
Moving anywhere from 65,000 to 75,000 equivalent album units, Lil Baby is safely being projected as the leader of the pack for another week. Following closely and competing for the top spot is Lady Gaga, who is expected to move up to 65,000 units herself.
The remainder of the Top 10 will likely be made up of artists who have stuck around for weeks after their drops. DaBaby, Drake, Future, Post Malone, Lil Uzi Vert, Polo G, Gunna, and The Weeknd are set to close out the coveted first ten spots.
With the recent success that Lil Baby has received for My Turn, it will be interesting to see if he decides to ride out this wave or drop something else quickly to capitalize on the buzz.
