Nike's #LeBronWatch Program continued last night in Cleveland as LeBron James paid tribute to one of the most popular athletes of all-time, Ken Griffey Jr.
LeBron took the court against the Toronto Raptors in a special black and teal version of the Nike LeBron 15, inspired by the "Fresh Water" colorway of Griffey's Nike Air Griffey Max 1. The Seattle Mariners themed LeBron 15s include a combination of the Swingman and Dunkman logos, as well as "1989" which is the year The Kid made his MLB debut. In fact, yesterday, April 3, marked the 29th anniversary of Griffey's first game with the Mariners.
Like all of the kicks that have released via Nike's #LeBronWatch Program, the limited edition "Griffey" LeBron 15s were made available via raffle on the Nike SNKRS app during last night's game for $200. Select Foot Locker locations will also release the kicks, as well as some other #LeBronWatch sneakers, on Saturday, April 7.
