The Brooklyn Nets' Caris LeVert suffered a gruesome injury to his right leg late in the first half of Monday night's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, and if you still haven't seen the aftermath consider yourself lucky. LeVert came down hard on his right leg after making contact with Jeff Teague on an attempted chase-down block and the game came to an abrupt halt.
It was one of those injuries that is so devastating and tough to watch (think Gordon Hayward and Paul George) that players across the league immediately took to social media to offer their support for LeVert, who had been having a breakout year. Heading into Monday's game in Minnesota, LeVert was averaging 19 points, 3.7 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game.
"There was really just no words," Joe Harris said after the game. "We didn't talk even when we came in at halftime. There was nothing to be said. Guys were crying. It was really that horrific just to see."
