Every time KXNG Crooked drops one of his recently-revived Weekly joints, it becomes all the more evident that few have mastered the craft on his level. Last week's installment found the LBC rapper delivering "Pistol Grip," and today, he has once again managed to come through with innovations in the flow department. "Every time I write for the Doctor, it's the doctrine," spits Crooked. "Dippin' on the north side, bordering on Compton." In expected fashion, he makes his delivery look effortless, leaving us marveling at the efficiency of his work ethic. How does he have this much material on deck? The man is churning out verses at an alarming rate, not that we're complaining.
On "Once Upon A Time In The LBC," Crook reflects on memory lane, referencing his come up with the Dogg Pound, among other prominent local heroes. It's a welcome dose of West Coast, throwback hip-hop, and another dope release from one of the game's enduring lyricists.
Quotable Lyrics
Stalkin, walkin, smart as Stephen Hawking
Ballin like Napoleon Bonaparte, even Kaufman
I been putting beats in a coffin since the walkman
Hoes all over my Johnnie, Mr. Cochrane
Every time I write for the Doctor, it's the doctrine
Dippin' on the north side, bordering on Compton
