Kim Kardashian is taking her criminal justice reform efforts to the next level by entering into the podcast world via Spotify for her very own exclusive series. Kim will serve as both producer and host of the podcast alongside TV producer Lori Rothschild Ansaldi. Per Variety, the series will be centred around Lori's investigation into the 1994 case of Kevin Keith, a man who was convicted of three murders and sentenced to execution in Ohio, before his sentence was commuted by the state governor in 2010 after new evidence raised doubts about his guilt. There will be particular focus on Kim's work with The Innocence Project, a nonprofit organization committed to exonerating wrongly convicted individuals and reforming the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice, as well.
This news comes just weeks after Spotify secured a $100 million deal with Joe Rogan to distribute The Joe Rogan Experience podcast exclusively through Spotify beginning later this year.
Kim has become very vocal in the last few years about the importance of criminal justice reform in the U.S. and has used her power and celebrity to work toward getting justice for individuals she believes were wrongfully convicted. Earlier this year, the aspiring lawyer debuted her documentary special, Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project, which explored the cases of Dawn Jackson, Alexis Martin, Momolu Stewart, and David Sheppard to highlight how flawed the criminal justice system truly is.
