Kim Kardashian is back in the trenches. Just a few months ago, people trashed the celebrity for trying to make a change. Then, she made a change. In June, Kardashian met with Donald Trump and convinced him to grant Alice Marie Johnson clemency. Now, Kim is at it again. According to multiple sources, Kardashian visited the White House on Wednesday morning to discuss prison reform and fight for another non-violent conviction to be overturned.
Chris Young has been locked up for a decade, and is set to serve a life sentence, for non-violent drug charges. There is no word if Kardashian is meeting with Donald Trump, but according to TMZ, she has been in contact with Jared Kushner. Kushner is the son-in-law of Trump, and one of his senior advisors. Kardashian claims that Kushner is "passionate" about prison reform, and he appears to be her go-to White House link.
Kim also claims that she's been in contact with the former Tennessee judge who sentenced Young to life. The celebrity social reform agent says the judge resigned partly because he couldn't continue to send people to jail for laws that were unjust. It appears that Kim is changing the country for the better, and if she's the one to convince Trump and his administration to overhaul the justice system, we're all for it.
