The ongoing feud between UFC Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor turned ugly this week, as Khabib referred to Conor as a "jealous wife" and McGregor returned fire by taking jabs at Khabib's wife and his religion. Naturally, Khabib fired right back and around and around we go.
In reference to McGregor's alleged sexual assault case in Ireland, Nurmagomedov tweeted, "Rapist, you are Rapist. You are a hypocrite who is not responsible for your actions. Justice will find you. We will see. @TheNotoriousMMA."
Additionally, Khabib says Conor isn't safe after he posted (and later deleted) an insulting tweet about Khabib's wife on their wedding day.
Shortly after Khabib's threats, McGregor posted the following message on twitter, in which he hinted at his return to the octagon.
"I want to move forward, with my fans of all faiths and all backgrounds. All faiths challenge us to be our best selves. It is one world and one for all Now see you in the Octagon."
It's certainly no surprise that McGregor is already looking to end his "retirement" which he announced just 10 days ago. The 30-year old fighter has been angling for a rematch against Khabib ever since he tapped out to the undefeated champ at UFC 229 back in October.
