If the 2020 Presidential election started tomorrow (and there's definitely some people who wish it would) and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was a candidate, He'd have Kevin Hart's vote.
In a digital exclusive that was uploaded in addition to their joint appearance on Ellen, Johnson told the eponymous host that he's still seriously considering a run at the White House in the next couple of years. The statement was met by enthusiasm by those on set, especially Hart, who thinks highly of the actor's political potential.
“I think the world that you’re living in today, you’re seeing the real effect that genuine people like Dwayne have,” the comedian said. “The one thing about him is he’s very serious when it comes to spreading that love, that laughter, and just the up-selling of life from a positive level, and if he were to put himself in that position he would get my support." Hart went on to say that, at the end of the day, he realizes that Johnson's intentions would be the right ones.
"But I know where his heart is — I really know him, and I know if he puts himself in that position for the better of the people, I can only applaud him and support him for doing that,” he continued. The two actors star together, along with Jack Black and Karen Gillan, in the upcoming film Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle. You can watch the trailer for that flick below.
