Kendrick Lamar Speaks On Mac Miller: "He Always Kept A Smile On His Face"

Kendrick Lamar remembers Mac Miller.

The death of Mac Miller came as an utter shock to everyone. After reports surfaced of his passing, tributes flooded timelines from his friends, peers, fans, and family. Mac had strong ties to the Top Dawg Entertainment camp with SZA and Punch paying their respects to the late rapper on social media. Kendrick Lamar recently spoke out on Mac Miller's passing and shared some heartfelt thoughts on the late rapper's life.

Peter Rosenberg previously revealed that the next episode of his Complex "Open Late" show will serve as a tribute to Mac Miller. Rosenberg called on Kendrick Lamar to make a rare appearance and share some of his thoughts on Mac Miller. The DAMN. rapper spoke not only praised Mac's pen game but also the energy he put out into the world.

"Great musician, great writer. Just always had a smile on his face," K. Dot said. "No matter what he was going through, he didn't make you feel sorry for him, you know? He was strong about it. Always kept a smile on his face because he wanted you to smile, too."

He added, "It wasn't no misery loves company with him. He showed a smile and you gave that smile right back. It made you feel good. So forever, we gon' remember the life and we gon' remember that smile. Celebrate him. Mac Miller. Love."
