Kendrick Lamar is the latest artist to be added to the Made In America Festival lineup. The Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper will be giving a "special performance" during this year's edition.
The festival posted their announcement on social media: "MADE IN AMERICA 2018 presents... A very special set by @kendricklamar Welcome to the #MadeInAmerica 2018 lineup."
Kendrick will also be in the company of the previous additions to the lineup, Pusha T, Daniel Caesar, Tekashi 6ix 9ine and Lil Skies. Other acts include Meek Mill, 6lack, Ty Dolla $ign, Rich The Kid, Preme, Janelle Monáe, Sabrina Claudio on top of headliners, Nicki Minaj and Post Malone.
The event, curated by Jay-Z, will take place in Philadelphia for its seventh year. Made In America Festival will be taking over Benjamin Franklin Parkway this labor day weekend, September 1-2. This comes as great news since a change of location had been previously reported.
Kendrick Lamar has been on a roll, especially since the drop of his last album entitled DAMN. The rapper recently served us with his acting chops on 50 Cent's television series, Power. The artist's role had been in the works for about "four years." Kendrick is mindful when it comes to his output. Other exciting news is most likely on the way.
