Katy Perry criticizes President Donald Trump's message about the forest fires affecting California residents.

Only recently, California was impacted by a wave of highly destructive forest fires. It is has been estimated that 9 people have lost their lives despite the valiant efforts of firefighters and forced evacuations. California natives such as Bella Hadid, Caitlyn Jenner, and Kim Kardashian have shared messages of hope, expressing concern for all of those affected and gratitude for their safety. "I heard the flames have hit our property at our home in Hidden Hills but now are more contained and have stopped at the moment," the latter wrote. "It doesn’t seem like it is getting worse right now, I just pray the winds are in our favor. God is good. I’m just praying everyone is safe."

Yesterday, President Donald Trump took to his twitter to discuss the matter telling the American public, “There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor. Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!”

Singer Katy Perry was evidently unimpressed with Trump's message and responded by tweeting, "This is an absolutely heartless response. There aren’t even politics involved. Just good American families losing their homes as you tweet, evacuating into shelters." Perry was not alone in her dissatisfaction, it seems, as John Legend  also criticized Trump writing, “Our National Embarrassment can’t bring himself to show some empathy to Californians dealing with a horrific disaster."
