Every year since 2000, Maxim has released its list of the hottest women in Hollywood. The term "hot" varies, and looks aren't the only factor that the magazine uses to rank its choices (although looks do help). Over the years, the number one spot has grown to become a coveted position. Several gorgeous and talented women have been chosen as the hottest woman throughout the years including Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Jessica Alba, and Eva Longoria, who won twice. There has never been a Black woman at the number one spot though, something that Maxim needs to consider. Rihanna, Beyonce, or Janelle Monáe could have easily taken that spot in the past, but that's another discussion altogether.
This year, Kate Upton will receive the coveted top spot on the list, and she deserves it. Upton posed for the cover in a shot taken in Israel's Negev Desert, one of the hottest places on Earth. The location makes sense for the hottest woman in the world. "You know, I work really hard on myself: on feeling good, working out, being strong, she told Maxim. "Being number one on the Hot 100 is a little reward for all of the hard work."
The Hot 100 issue drops on June 19.
